In the beauty of Montana, along the Missouri River, join the Mantle Family for a nine day stay at our working horse ranch, during which you will learn to become the kind of horse wrangler upon whom we can proudly place our stamp of approval and reference. Here at the Mantle Ranch in Three Forks, we run a herd of several hundred head of professional dude horses that we lease to the very best guest ranches and outfitting businesses in the state. Our clients are reliant upon professional dude wranglers to keep their guests safe and happy, their horses healthy and productive, their operations profitable, and their reputations as the best in the world. Our ten day program is an intense training ground during which you can learn the essential elements of the dude horse business in a practical, hands-on, environment from instructors who are members of the largest family of dude horses and businesses in the world – the Mantles. Your classroom is on a horse and in the field. Just as there is a difference between a ranch horse and a dude horse, there is a difference between a cowboy and a wrangler. We do not teach you to be cowboys, we teach you to be wranglers - horsemen suited for the guest industry. We strive to provide the very best horses in the business, and we train the very best wranglers in the business. This training is appropriate for current or potential horse wranglers, facility managers or head wranglers, horse enthusiasts, or equine program students. $2250 per person includes: Lodging, meals, transfers, saddle horse and tack. Upon completion, you will have a job reference and leads and leave with completion certificate and rating. Graduation day includes an interview session with real summer ranch employers.
