Trail Horses - HORSES FOR SALE

Each year, we select a few of our very finest horses and offer them for sale. These are horses that have worked their way up through our various programs and who we feel best represent us, our ranch, and our preferred type of horse. These are horses on which we are proud to place our brand and our name.

Here at the Mantle Ranch, we take very seriously our claim to lease and sell solid, gentle, proven trail horses. If a horse is in our trail horse sale lineup, we have taken the time over many months and usually years to know the horse well enough to make that claim. These are horses we feel confidant enough to represent as safe, family horses. We sell only the best. Our prices reflect the time and experience they have with us and their overall versatility, both in their abilities and in the type of rider that can enjoy them.

If you are more interested in a younger horse, check out our Prospects for Sale. Our "prospects" are many other's "finished" horses. If they are on our Prospects for Sale list, we feel they have the potential to be solid, gentle, proven horses, but simply lack the age or experience to have proven themselves over time to us. They possess all the qualities we find desireable in a horse; gentleness, versatility, good mind, sound conformation. These "prospects" are horses we believe are best placed with a certain type of rider, usually more confidant and versatile horsemen who possess the skills necessary to best utilize younger, smart horses with their lives of refinement ahead of them.

Our lineup is being updated continually. Since we're riding these horses and running the ranch ourselves daily, sometimes we are a little tardy in keeping things posted. 2002 Bay Gelding For Sale

M is one of the finest horses to ever grace our place. He is rock solid, and has been used in our personal saddle horse pen (Renee uses him regularly) because he is a go-to guy! We have moved horses on him ourselves in the Horse Drive and ranch gathers and outfitter drives, under guests, cowboys, and personally. He foxhunts and was started jumping informally over cross country obstacles last year. He can be roped off, he sorts well. He completes the Ultimate Horse Course fully and exceptionally. He has been taken to hunting camp, he packs and he leads pack strings. VERY SMOOTH MOVER. Best of all, he is super gentle and an absolute friend. He is one of a kind. We love M.
