SEASONAL HORSES

Seasonal Horses are available for lease in 2012.  Seasonal leasing is appropriate for anyone who will be using the horses for longer than two weeks.  May 1st marks the beginning of the Summer Season and you can return your horses in September.

We no longer offer Fall Season or Short Trip horses for lease.
Guest Ranches, Trail Rides, & Kids Camps:
We rent horses that can be safely worked into your operation.  Supplement your existing string or lease an entire string of mountain horses that are able to take on the rigors of the dude season. These are seasoned horses that pack or ride and can handle most guests you have. We encourage you to come to the ranch and choose your own horses to meet your demands. Our rates make seasonal leasing an affordable alternative to ownership. This option is perfect for the seasonal dude industry or seasonal horse rider. Best of all, if you do not like the horse we will replace him with one that you do like!

2012 RIDING/SUMMER SEASON RATES:
1-5 head - $1000 per head
6-9 head - $925 per head
10 or more - $850 per head

EQUIPMENT: $75 per season, per set.
This includes a complete set of either Riding or Pack gear.
Riding includes Saddle, Bridle, Halter w/Lead, Pad
Pack includes Sawbuck Pack Saddle, Canvas Pack Panniers, Pads, Halter w/Lead.
We screen every new horse on our own backcountry trail course, The Ultimate Horse Course.  These horses are qualified.  Let us recommend the right horses for you, then come to the ranch to ride with us and preview your new horses.

Due to the recent announcement of The Mantle Ranch for Sale and our retirement, 2012 will be our last Summer Lease Season. Current clients will be offered first right to lease or purchase their horses. We will be open to receiving new summer lease contracts after January 15th.

SHOEING: Your seasonal horses WILL require shoes.  Our charges: New Shoes - $85.  Draft Shoes - $100.  Sharp Shoes - $120. 

DELIVERY: No charge for loads of 10 head or more within 250 miles of Three Forks, MT.  $2.50 will be charged per loaded mile for deliveries OR retrievals of less than 10 head or for mileage further than 250 miles of Three Forks. Whenever possible, trucking will be prorated or eliminated when two or more loads can be combined.  We deliver to the end of paved roads, weather permitting.  An additional charge of $50 per hour is charged for gravel road time.  NO DELIVERY IS PERMITTED ON NATIONAL FOREST.  

OUT-OF-STATE:  $40 additional per horse leaving Montana.  This includes a Coggins test and health inspection OUT.  Horses leaving Montana for more than 30 days will require re-entry permits – arrangements and cost to be handled by lessee.  CANADIAN HORSES - ask us.

A $2500 security deposit is required of all new lessees.

INJURED OR DAMAGED HORSES:
Horses returned with wither sores, kidney sores, cinch sores, or malnourished so as to be temporarily unusable - $500 penalty.  Death or permanent injury - $2500 per horse.

Signed Lease Agreements are required to reserve horses, accompanied by a down-payment of 1/3 of the total lease fee. 
The balance of the lease fee is due upon receiving horses.
